Event Recap: Speakers thanked President Biden, Senator Bob Casey, and Pennsylvania’s other congressional leaders for passing the IRA in 2022 and important climate-smart agricultural provisions. Speakers detailed how the federal investments directly impacted Lancaster’s economy, which includes a large agricultural sector. Professor Sepi Yalda, Ph.D. highlighted how sustainable agriculture plays a pivotal role in mitigating the adverse effects of climate change on our food systems. Speakers also urged Pennsylvania’s congressional leaders to protect climate-smart agriculture investments against rollback efforts. Photos below.
