Laredo, TX Press Conference with Farmers, Business Owners, & the Mayor

Event Recap: At the event, speakers highlighted how the federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), signed into law in 2022 by President Biden, is providing critical funding for farmers to help them improve conservation efforts and mitigate the dire impacts of climate change. Speakers noted that, in the past, these conservation programs were oversubscribed and underfunded, but thanks to the new law, more Texan farmers are now able to participate in these popular programs.
