Event Recap: Earlier today, we conducted a live CAC NC-01 climate smart agriculture press conference. Speakers highlighted how the federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is now providing critical funding for farmers to help them mitigate the dire impacts of climate change and the importance of protecting this funding. Speakers called on federal leaders to thwart any attempts to reduce or redirect the money for climate smart agricultural programs during Farm Bill reauthorization negotiations later this year.
